Epsilons- Semi Morons

The Epsilon- Semi Morons are the worst of all the social caste groups. The Epsilons are not mentioned very frequently in the book, but do (in my opinion) play a big part in the London society. Epsilons, are basically the slaves of the London world. They are conditioned to think that the work that they do, is the greatest, and the best work, they would not want to do any other work. The Epsilons, are the slaves of the society, and because of that , they are controlled more then any of the other castes, so they have to take more Soma then any other groups. The Epsilons can not read, because of fear that if they can read, then they will be able to achieve the same level of intelligence as that of the other groups, If the Epsilons did become as smart as the other groups, then they would see that the other groups have better jobs, and have more freedom then they do. The Epsilons have alcohol put into their bottles so that they look different then all of the other groups, that way people will be able to tell what caste the people are just by looking. The Epsilons all are stunted in height, and have uglier qualities in the face then all of the other groups. The other reason that they have alcohol put into their bottles is so that their brains do not develop at of to the same rate as that of the other groups. The Epsilons must be drugged before they are "born" because if they were not, then they would try to revolutionize.
